. She was the first woman in Italy to earn a degree in medicine. Dr Montessori was born in Italy on August 31, 1870. Our school offers a program for children from preschool to grade eight. We currently have a full elementary program to grade eight. Through her interest in child development, her observations and her didactic materials, Montessori developed a method of education which was revolutionary. Class was added in 1999, starting with grades one, two and three. With each class of twenty-four children, we have three teachers. Classes for children age 2 1/2 to 5 years old. She travelled to many places around the world giving lectures about her method, and her results. Today there are schools all around the world which follow the Montessori Method of teaching. The school was established in 1989 and is situated on a beautiful 1.3 acre ravine lot. Our maximum class size does not exceed twenty-four children at any time
